Voting is Open for the New Media Europe Awards



New Media Europe Awards logoThe New Media Europe Awards are an opportunity for New Media to recognize people and organizations in the “new media” space who do remarkable things and create the digital mark on people of new media generation. Voting is now open.

The New Media Europe 2016 conference will be host to the following 6 New Media Europe Awards during their evening gala:

Best UK Podcast of 2016 Award – Open to UK podcasts only, all categories, styles, and niches are welcome.

Audience Appreciation Award – Award for the most engaged audience, community or tribe of a podcast. The award is for the podcast which impacts the most people with their work.

World’s Best Podcast of 2016 – Open to all podcasts (regardless of geographic location). This award is to recognize the most prominent podcast worldwide.

2016 Community Award – Open to existing online tribes and communities. An online community is a group of people with common interests who all use the internet (websites, email Facebook groups, social media, etc.) to communicate work together and pursue their interests over time. The requirement here is for the community to have a visible presence.

2016 Influencer Award – Award for people who have the ability to influence the behavior or opinion of others in a positive way. The requirement here is to have a visible presence online, and to be someone who has impacted your life significantly over the last 2 or 3 years.

2016 App Award – Award for software, tools, programs, websites, that make a significant impact on new media users. The requirement here is for the app to have visible presence online.

The voting process is now open. Stage one, “Nominations” began on May 9, 2016, and will end on May 29, 2016. In order to vote a person has to be a Facebook users. There is a poll inside the Event Page for New Media Europe for each category. You can vote for multiple categories. Each category is open to the first 100 unique nominations.

Stage two begins on May 29, 2016, and ends on June 10, 2016. From the stage one voting, New Media Europe will select the top 10 voted nominees for each category. The deciding factor is number of votes. People will be able to vote on those top ten nominees in each category. This time the voting will be done through Twitter.

Stage three is the awards, which will be announced and handed out during the New Media Expo event on June 18, 2016, at the exclusive Gala Dinner Party. Tickets and more details are available via the New Media Europe Awards website.
