Some Quick Podcasting Facts
- You don’t need an iPod to listen. You can listen on your computer or any portable device (cell phone, mp3 player, etc.) that allows you to play MP3 files.
- You can ‘subscribe’ to content by pasting the feed address of each show into iTunes or other free podcast applications like Juice Receiver or MyPodder. If you sign up for an account you can also enjoy our MyCast™ feature as described below.
- There is no charge to subscribe to a podcast and you don’t have to give up any personal information.
- Once subscribed, audio files will be delivered to your computer when new content is available from the shows.

Exploring PodcasterNews.com
It’s easy to find, listen and subscribe to content on PodcasterNews.com. You can find podcasts by viewing the most recent content which you will find on the Podcasts By Date page. You can also find podcasts based on the category by going to the Programs page.
Finally, you can use the PCN search feature by typing your search terms
and submitting using the search box on the right side of the Home page.
Each category and podcast has a play (
) button on the upper left portion of the frame. See the image below for an example.
Clicking
the button will open the pop-up flash player that allows you to
navigate through the most recent content from that show or category.

When you find a show you like you can subscribe by using the RSS 2.0 or iTunes link in each show frame. Clicking on the iTunes link will open the iTunes program where you can subscribe to the podcast. You can also ‘right click’ the RSS 2.0 link and select “copy link location” or “copy shortcut” and then paste the feed address into your favorite podcast subscription application.

If you take a minute and sign up for an account
with PCN you get access to our easy and convenient MyCast™ feature.
MyCast™ allows you to manage and play all of your PCN subscriptions
online via a single podcast feed. So instead of having to plug 5 or 10
feeds into your podcast catching application you can use just one.
Simply click the ‘add’(
) button on each show frame to add a podcast to your MyCast™.
Check the MyCast™ page for your custom RSS feed link and help on how to use it as shown in image below.
Your
MyCast™ page gives you access to the most current podcasts in your
subscription and also allows you to play individual episodes or all
recent episodes in the flash player by clicking the ‘play mycast’ (
) button.
