BlueCross BlueShield has a Podcast

Right now, the news is filled with information about the Affordable Care Act and the Republican’s effort to repeal it. People who do not usually pay much attention to health insurance are trying to figure out how a repeal would affect them and their families. It couldn’t be a better time for a health insurance company to start a podcast.

BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York has started a podcast called Point of Health.  The series is designed to keep people updated on key topics and issues in the rapidly changing health care industry. Each episode features an interview with experts on health insurance and health care.  The episodes will covers a variety of perspectives and provide information for listeners.

At the time I am writing this blog, Point of Health has released two episodes. The first one is titled: “Easy Steps to Improve Your Health in the New Year”. It features Dr. Thomas Schenk, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.

The second episode is titled: “Repeal? Replace? What’s Next?”. I think that one will get a lot of listens and downloads. It features Donald Ingalls, Vice President, State and Federal Relations of BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. It also contains clips from a recently held panel discussion with national and local experts.

The Point of Health podcast is available on Soundcloud.
