The first Podcast Live event will take place on Sunday 7th April, at Friends House/ “The Light” in Central London. It will cover politics and feature up to 10 separate shows.
Podcast Live was founded by a team of experienced media professionals from across radio and podcasting, and is led by Chairman Phil Riley, founder of Heart FM and former boss of LBC, along with Creative Director Matt Deegan, co-creator of the British Podcast Awards and the Next Radio conference.
You can buy tickets for a single show for £15 or get a day pass for £40. Your day pass will guarantee you entrance to all the Main Show sessions, but with the Satellite Room, which is a cosier affair, Podcast Live will allocate any spare seats to day pass holders on a first come, first served basis.
Confirmed shows include:
For the Many – Featuring broadcaster Iain Dale and former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith
The Delingpod – With James Delingpole talking to Brendan O’Neill
How I Found My Voice – New podcast from Intelligence Squared hosted by Samira Ahmed
The Times Red Box Podcast – With journalist and commentator Matt Chorley
Remainiacs – Hosted by Dorian Lynskey, Ros Taylor, Alex Andreou and Nina Schick. It is described as “the no bullsh*t Brexit podcast”.
Other shows will be announced in the coming weeks. The shows will all be recorded for subsequent release by the podcasters.
