Radio and Television Report reported that Gary Leland has accepted the role of EVP at Dallas-based BizTalkRadio. Gary Leland is the co-Founder of Podcast Movement, and a member of the 2016 class in the Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame for his work in building and promoting podcasts.

BizTalkRadio describes itself as: “the home for your business!” It is the only podcast network committed to original, resourceful and insightful programming about real people succeeding in business. It is dedicated to shows about: sales and marketing, management, finance, and work-life balance.

Gary Leland will report to COO Scott Miller, who said, “We continue to grow our radio footprint, but to support our affiliates we felt we needed a stronger digital media focus. Gary is well known in the radio podcasting space and is a marketer by nature.”

Gary Leland said, “Radio is still a very powerful medium. My father-in-law owned a radio station in Texas. I have seen first hand how local radio can impact a community. Radio still has a role to play, but we have to recognize how people consume radio is changing. My goal is to embrace the change and drive more listeners to our programmers and affiliates. To be a resource to help both stay viable in the 21st Century.”
