Cleanfeed Launched New Studio Tools for Podcasters

Cleanfeed, a collaboration tool for high definition, live audio and recording in your browser, takes feedback and experiences from the professional radio industry and launches its enhanced studio tools, improving the service for podcasters and broadcasters globally.

Cleanfeed has become an established go-to service for broadcasters, podcasters, journalists, radio and just about anyone that requires the need to broadcast or record in high-definition audio, straight from their browser. Striving to continually improve the user and guest experience, Cleanfeed announced the launch of their enhanced studio tools. The tools, all housed in your web browser with no requirement for any external hardware or software include: enhancements to Cleanfeed’s existing Clips feature, and a new Player for longer cuts of audio.

The tools give podcasters and broadcasters the functionality of a professional radio studio, straight out of their laptop. Features now give users the opportunity to give their listeners and guests a finished production experience, including the ability to play intro and background music, host a panel show or quiz with sound effects, review music, have guests comment on interviews or even play voxes from the public.

Cleanfeed continues to be everything you would expect from their service, high quality audio, very responsive yet straight forward in appearance and incredibly powerful.

Marc Bakos, co-founder of Cleanfeed comments: “As business owners we are continually striving to take feedback directly from our users, as well as industry professionals, to ensure we are servicing our community with the best user experience possible. The new enhanced tools really reinforce that creativity is only ever limited by our imagination and we are excited about the possibilities that these features open for everyone who uses them.”

Mandy Morrow, Director at Crew Radio, comments: “Cleanfeed has been powering our radio station and it keeps getting better! The new Player and updated Clips allow us to produce our recorded shows as if they were live, giving us a finished sound which our audience loves. Its simplicity and ease of use means we’ve not had to look elsewhere to integrate audio into our remote shows, we can do it right from inside Cleanfeed!”

Cleanfeed to Offer First Browser Multitrack Recorder

Cleanfeed, providers of live audio in high definition, anywhere in the world, will officially launch a multitrack recording feature at this month’s Podcast Movement in Orlando, Florida. They will be the first to offer a browser multitrack recorder.

Multitrack recording in Cleanfeed enables a separate audio file for each person in the session, including for extra local devices, as well as Clips. All recorded tracks are saved in a fast zip download, collating all the tracks as WAV files in one place, so no audio quality is lost in the process, and all individual tracks can then be downloaded separately if needed. Unique to Cleanfeed, when sessions are recorded in stereo (in Cleanfeed Pro), the tracks recorded are stereo.

Cleanfeed’s existing recording features include:

  • Saving a recording at any time during the session, for extra security
  • Access to quick checks on recordings
  • Visual meters displaying what’s being recorded
  • Professional audio meters

In addition to retaining all of the above, multitrack recording in Cleanfeed will offer users multiple benefits, including:

  • Advanced editing post recording
  • Recovering/enhancing when recording in less than optimal environment, eg. removing background noise. Following a beta period, the company has decided it’s now time for the multitrack recording feature to go mainstream.

The Cleanfeed team has developed the feature knowing that recording and saving a whole session in multitrack gives the best experience for post production editing, while recording each individual source in the session gives maximum editing control.

Podcast Movement seemed the perfect place to release the new feature. Podcast Movement President, Dan Franks, is looking forward to the launch at next week’s event, saying, “Podcast Movement attendees are on top of the latest and best technology, and are always hungry to learn more,” said Podcast Movement President Dan Franks. “Cleanfeed’s new software is an exciting launch that we can’t wait to host and share with the global podcaster community.”

Once officially launched at Podcast Movement (Orlando, 13-16 August 2019), where the team will host Booth 325, Cleanfeed Multitrack will be available to Pro users of the software.

Cleanfeed is a Broadcast-Quality alternative to Skype

Cleanfeed logoRecording remote interviews can be a real challenge for podcasters. Tools have been around for years to help with the process. But sometimes those tools are unreliable or unpredictable in terms of performance. A lot of services have moved into this field recently, to try and make the process of recording VoIP easier. The latest entrant is Cleanfeed, a service that carries the tagline, “Broadcast-quality audio links are now available to everyone.”

Cleanfeed describes itself as:

…an easy-to-use live audio link in your Chrome browser. Only one party needs an account and there are no confusing costs; just share a link. A higher quality alternative to on-air phonecalls, Skype and expensive ISDN.

Cleanfeed is free to use, even for commercial broadcasters. (The Cleanfeed site does suggest that large media organizers contact the service for a “bespoke license.”) Cleafeed claims it’s a good tool for  podcasters, professional broadcasters, voice artists, community radio stations, and other audio producers.

Is Cleanfeed the VoIP solution podcasters have been waiting for? Its relative ease of use will definitely be attractive, especially for podcasters who need to connect with remote parties that aren’t very tech savvy. Have you used Cleanfeed? Let us know in the comment section below!
