Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference will be in Atlantic City

The Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference (MAPCON) will take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey, September 6-7, 2019. It will be held at the Ocean Resort Casino. At the time I am writing this blog post, tickets are still available.

Mid-Atlantic Podcast started (December 2014) as a Facebook group for podcasters who live in the Mid-Atlantic States (North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Connecticut). The idea was to bring podcasters together for meet-ups, Google Hangouts and eventually grow into conferences. After seeing the interest to have a podcast (exclusive) conference in the northeast, Joe Pardo jumped on the opportunity to make it happen.

The Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference (MAPCON) will take place on September 8 and 9 of 2017 at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia in South-Swedesboro. The MAPCON website has a list of the people who will be Speakers at the event.

The Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference will take place on September 8 and 9 of 2017 at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia in South-Swedesboro. You can purchase a ticket to the conference now through the Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference website.

At the time I am writing this blog, MAPCON has not posted any specific information about the speakers, agenda, or other announcements. Those will be announced “soon”. Those who want to be the first to find out that information can sign up for conference updates with their email address.

There are two types of tickets for the Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference. One is for the physical “in real life” event. The other is a virtual ticket.

Tickets for MAPCON 2017 currently cost $150. That price is going to increase on August 1, 2017. The ticket gives you access to:

The event will include the Creative Podcast Competition. Podcasters will team up to create a less than five minute podcast in 45 minutes incorporating three items given at the start of the competition. Each episode will be performed on stage to be judged for fabulous prizes!

It will be possible to record podcasts at MAPCON. Podcasters are encouraged to use the spacious area, tables and chairs in the atrium to record their shows. This is a great opportunity to meet and interview other podcasters for your show.
