According to the official press release from Libsyn: “The inductees were voted on by the Hall of Fame Induction Committee, which is composed of current Hall of Fame members; Induction Committee Chairperson Rob Greenlee, who is also Vice President of Content and Partnerships at Libsyn; and Induction Committee Vice Chair Mignon Fogarty, who is the creator and host of Grammar Girl podcast.”

“I was honored and very excited to be inducted into the Podcast Hall of Fame in 2017 and am happy we will be having another opportunity to celebrate another group of amazingly innovative contributors to the development of the podcasting medium.” Said Greenlee.

Join Podcast Movement in-person or virtually to honor the current and new inductees on March 25 at 6:00 pm PT at the JW Marriott in Downtown Los Angeles. Podcast Movement: Tu Voz will take place on October 9, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For nearly 10 years, Podcast Movement has hosted the world’s largest conferences and trade shows for the podcast industry. Now, in 2021, for the first time ever, Podcast Movement is hosting their first ever event geared exclusively towards Spanish speaking podcasters from around the world.

Podcast Movement: Evolutions will take place March 23-26, 2022, in Los Angeles California

Evolutions returns to Los Angeles this spring! After a sold out Evolutions in 2020, Podcast Movement is excited to welcome the podcast industry back for this event that focuses on the constantly changing landscape of the podcast industry.

They can’t wait for you to come to their home this August.

Podcast Movement 2021 Speaker Submissions Now Open!

Podcast Movement “Home for the Holidays” Virtual Meetup

The Podcast Movement team is hosting the “Home for the Holidays” virtual community meetup. It will take place on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 2PM to 4PM EST. Those who are interested in attending can RSVP and register now.

We plan to deck the halls by having an open forum with virtual rooms for general discussion as well as the option to split into small groups to discuss niche podcast-related topics. We hope that you and your family are having a great holiday season. We look forward to seeing you at the holiday meetup!

To register for the event, use the RSVP button on the Podcast Movement website about the “Home for the Holidays” event. They will email you a link to log in to the portal and attend the virtual event.

What will this event entail?

Podcast Movement are providing an interactive discussion platform that will allow attendees to meander and mingle with one another either for general discussion and/or more focused discussion topics. It’s the closest thing that Podcast Movement has been able to find to being in the same room together and being able to rotate and chat/network with different folks freely.

Here are some specifics to know about:

You don’t have to download anything in order to participate. Use your browser to connect. Join via the provided event link at the event start time, and you will be able to hop in and out of different small groups to socialize with other attendees and groups.

You should join from a laptop or a desktop using either Chrome or Firefox browsers. Podcast Movement does not recommend joining from a mobile device as the platform works on a desktop/laptop experience. Podcast Movement asks that you do not use Safari or Microsoft Edge.

It is recommended that you use headphones during the event. You should also test your webcam and microphone in advance of the event. Details about how to look your best on a video call is provided via a link on the Podcast Movement website.

Podcast Movement University Launches!

Podcast Movement announced the launch of Podcast Movement University. You can sign up now for free. The free SHIFT kickoff event will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. It is a virtual conference.

Several months ago, Podcast Movement put out a survey asking what we could do to bring you the most value as podcasters and podcast professionals. You put COMMUNITY and NETWORKING at the top of the list. Ask and you shall receive!

Additionally, you shared all kinds of ideas for year-round support. Education for getting your podcast off the ground, making it better, or growing as a podcast professional were popular topics.

Podcast Movement University will have all this and more.

Main Activity Feed: Think, Facebook Groups, with more organization, more options, and less Facebook! You can tag posts with their relevant topic(s) for more natural categorization, and you can even click the Topics button to check out only the conversations that are most relevant to you.

The Feed is where you’ll see all the public conversations happening, as well as all the posts from your assigned groups.

Groups: They’ve got all kinds of groups in the University, and you can think of them as “communities within the community.” Whether you’re a new podcaster or business podcaster, there’s a group for you. If you’re looking for guests or looking to be a guest on another show, there’s a group for you. If you’d like to share your show and get feedback, you guessed it, there’s also a group for you.

Join all one or all of them, and get the conversations started!

Events:
One of the things Podcast Movement is most excited about is beginning to host weekly meetups. Some just for networking with other University members, while others will be more focused and guided around a specific topic.

Podcast Movement Brings You Two Huge Events in 2020

For the first time ever, Podcast Movement is bringing you two huge events in 2020. One is called PM: Evolutions, and the other is Podcast Movement 2020.

PM: Evolutions will take place February 12-15, 2020, in Los Angeles, California, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Evolutions will put an increased focus on the ever changing landscape and latest trends of the industry, and deep dive those from every angle.

Featuring three distinctive tracks focused on the attendee’s unique place in podcasting (Industry Professional, Pro Podcaster, Hobbyist Podcaster), content will be tailored to provide the maximum, well-rounded, value for each focused group.

Evolutions is all about the changing landscape of the podcast industry. Whether you’re an industry professional, a full time podcaster, or a hobbyist creator, it’s important to know what is happening in the space around you. That’s where Evolutions comes in.

Like Podcast Movement, the education is at the center of the event, and it will be world class. Unlike Podcast Movement, all sessions will be based on new trends, technology or topics. Think of it as a deep dive into the latest and greatest, and a master class on what you need to know, and what you can let go.

Podcast Movement 2020 will take place August 5-8, 2020, in Dallas, Texas, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. Join over 3,000 podcasters from around the world for over 200 educational sessions, the 100+ exhibitor trade show, and the best parties and networking opportunities in podcasting.

Featuring breakout sessions and panels spread across seven topic-focused tracks, Podcast Movement 2020 will once again be the world’s largest gathering of podcasters, and those involved in the podcast industry.

How are the two events different?

  • All sessions at Evolutions will be built around the industry’s evolution, versus more widespread topics at PM.
  • Evolutions education is divided into tracks based on who you are as an attendee, versus the actual topic type.
  • Evolutions will feature a more intimate environment than Podcast Movement. The event will be at roughly 1,000 attendees, spread across three tracks, and is expected to sell out before February arrives.
  • Evolutions will mark the return of the Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame.
