The Podcaster News team mourns the loss of Executive Editor and site founder Todd Cochrane, who passed this week at age 61. Todd will be remembered by many as a new media pioneer, podcasting entrepreneur/innovator, beloved family man, and dear friend.

I’ve known and worked with Todd personally for over ten years as a member of the Blubrry team. I was acquainted with Todd for at least twice that long thru various online communities before. I always admired Todd’s drive and fearlessness when it came to getting things done, as well as his compassion for others. More than anything, Todd wanted to see others succeed. He was always available, when needed, to offer words of encouragement or helpful advice.

Todd hired me here when Podcaster News relaunched in 2014 and then hired me again a year later to work for Blubrry, at a time when I was struggling to find work. I’ll be forever grateful for those opportunities but much more grateful for the friendship and camaraderie of this remarkable man.
